At the end of June and start of July, flowering occurred. This is a crucial stage because it determines the quantity and quality of the future bunches. It took place over a period of two weeks in very satisfactory conditions, with little rain.
A few flowers were lost due to the odd shower and the cold, but nothing compared to 2012 when only half the flowers made it through.
The little concentrated berries herald the presence of millerandage, the phenomenon of tiny grapes along with larger ones on the same bunch. It looks as though the number of bunches will be high, which would be welcome after three fairly limited vintages.
