The winegrowers and négociants who, since 2015, have been involved with the French “12 de Cœur” fundraiser, have just launched an even more ambitious, charitable operation.
From 2018, for a period of five years, 100 producers of some of France’s most widely-renowned wines will be joining forces to host some exceptional auctions, the profits of which will be donated to the Restos du Cœur charity that supports the disadvantaged.
During these annual sales, wine lovers around the world will be able to bid for a range of lots, including one of 100 magnums from 100 estates supporting the project, and others featuring some very rare vintages.
This is a charity event on a huge scale that demonstrates the values of commitment and generosity so dear to the wine industry as a whole.
This big-hearted gesture will begin with the first auction on 25 May in Hong Kong.
