                    N°73. SUMMER 2024

Iris and Uno, flaring in May

                                                       ♦ THE VINES
A hellish season! SINCE THE SPRING:
                                                         RAIN, RAIN AND
Should we blame a year of 13 moons for climate disruption?! Probably MORE RAIN!
not, because the capricious weather did not wait for this recurring
phenomenon to come back around. But we have to find something
to blame for all of this water that has been pouring over our heads for ♦ THE WINERY
several months! Cold temperatures meant that flowering happened BOTTLING THE FIRST
slowly, dribbling with rain. In mid-July the vines were ready to be
trimmed, the soils were soaking wet (which made the treatment 2023 WINES contents
schedule more complicated), and we were fighting an invasion of
grass, downy mildew and now also powdery mildew. ♦ THE CELLAR
                          ♦ 2023 MATURATION
Fortunately, things were less stressful in the winery: the 2023 maturation
process is continuing with the first bottling and we have started
preparing the cellar to receive the harvest expected in mid-September,
     just two months’ time!
