We’re off! Grape harvesting has begun!
For the 2023 vintage, it’s full speed ahead for the next three weeks!

The first snips with pruning shears were in Côte de Beaune on Wednesday, August 30, at our Puligny-Montrachet Premier Cru Champ Gain.

The weather was beautiful that day. The vineyard was verdant and energetic, oozing great form. It was the kind of day you always dream about.

The day was also about magnificent of Grands Crus Chevalier-Montrachet, Bâtard-Montrachet, and Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet, with their generous, golden clusters.

 

On Day 2, our monopole Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru Morgeot Clos de la Chapelle offered up its first Chardonnay grapes. We weren’t about to leave the Golden Triangle and its sun-drenched fruit.

Day 3 in Beaune was at the lovely, tiny Saint Désiré vineyard that stretches along the mountainside.Then there were the first reds: Volnay Clos des Chênes and Ez Blanche.

 

The warm weather is extending the summer season.Our grapes titrate between 12.5° and 13°, with a nice balance of sweetness and acidity. So absolutely wonderful!
