This fresh morning, we pick the grand cru of Clos Vougeot, our easternmost plot. The weather is very humid, the sky overcast, yet our cheerful harvesters continue their work with smiles and good spirits.
The grapes are magnificent. The ground is heavy, sticky mud under the boots from yesterday’s intense rains, but with the return of light, nothing hinders the progress of our harvest, slowly approaching the end as autumn seems to be arriving… The vine leaves are beginning to turn red here and there… The ella ris almost full already…
